Riverside District Members, April 6, 2017
Your district has been working hard lobbying with the Riverside County Board Supervisors. Unfortunately, we must inform the membership that the Riverside County Board of Supervisors has given CAL FIRE a 120-day notice to reduce staffing in Riverside County. The majority of these positions will be company officers.
The County Fire Ad-hoc committee made recommendations to rescind municipal staffing, rolling our current model of service and delivery back to previous 2006 circa fire protection in Riverside County. Your district is opposed to these reductions. The District provided a presentation to the County Board of Supervisors on April 6, 2017. Prior to this presentation, our case was provided to the Riverside County Board of Supervisors individually.
We are asking all available to attend the next board meeting;
